Es befindet sich in <strong>Vittoriosa<\/strong> an der Spitze der Halbinsel.<\/p>\n<h3>Geschichte des Forts<\/h3>\n<p>Die strategisch gut gelegene Spitze der Halbinsel Vittoriosa wurde im 9. Jahrhundert befestigt. Davor standen hier vermutlich r\u00f6mische und ph\u00f6nizische Tempel. 1530 \u00fcbernahmen Ritter die <strong>mittelalterliche Festung<\/strong>. \u00dcber die Jahrhunderte wurde das Fort um einige Verteidigungsanlagen erweitert.<\/p>\n<p>Die Briten besetzten die Festung im Jahre 1912 und machten sie bis 1979 zum Hauptquartier ihrer Mittelmeerflotte.<\/p>\n<p>Im Jahr 2015 wurde es nach Restaurierungsarbeiten der \u00d6ffentlichkeit zug\u00e4nglich gemacht.<\/p>\n<h3>Besichtigung des Forts<\/h3>\n<p>Sie k\u00f6nnen verschiedene Ausstellungen, einschlie\u00dflich der <strong>Kapelle St. Anne<\/strong>, im Fort St. Angelo besichtigen. Besonders interessant ist die Multi-Media Show. Sie  befindet sich in der maltesischen Stadt Victoria auf der Insel Gozo.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00f6rdlich des Zentrums der Stadt Victoria, auf einem Felsen gelegen, thront die Zitadelle. Hier ergibt sich bereits aus der Ferne ein beeindruckender Anblick, egal ob vom Land oder dem Meer aus. <\/p>\n<p>Die Anlage der Zitadelle in Victoria beherbergt die <strong>Mari\u00e4-Himmelfahrt-Kathedrale<\/strong> und den <strong>Bischofsplatz des Bistums Gozo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Beeindruckende Geschichte<\/h3>\n<p>Zur Zeit des R\u00f6mischen Reiches befand sich hier eine Akropolis.
