Am besten l\u00e4sst sich dieses Schauspiel von der Ortspitze Passaus beobachten. Aus drei verschiedenen Himmelsrichtungen kommen die Donau, der Inn und die Ilz in Passau an, um anschlie\u00dfend gemeinsam in der vierten Himmelsrichtung weiterzuflie\u00dfen.<\/p>\n<h3>Die drei Farben der Fl\u00fcsse<\/h3>\n<p>Noch au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlicher wird dieses Naturschauspiel durch die <strong>verschiedenen Wasserfarben<\/strong> der Fl\u00fcsse. Die Donau ist blau, der aus den Alpen kommende Inn gr\u00fcn, und die Ilz schwarz, da sie zuvor durch ein Moorgebiet flie\u00dft. F\u00fcr eine gewisse Strecke lassen sich nach dem Zusammenschluss der Fl\u00fcsse alle drei Farben ausmachen. Die Stadt war einst das gr\u00f6\u00dfte Bistum im Heiligen R\u00f6mischen Reich. Zu den Exponaten geh\u00f6ren Meisterwerke der barocken und romanischen Kunst ebenso wie liturgische Gew\u00e4nder und gotische Tafelbilder. Der H\u00f6hepunkt jedes Museumsbesuches ist jedoch ein Blick auf den beeindruckenden Domschatz.<\/p>\n<h3>Die Bibliothek<\/h3>\n<p>Die <strong>Bibliothek der F\u00fcrstbisch\u00f6fe<\/strong> befindet sich noch immer in der Residenz und kann ebenfalls besichtigt werden. Es ist bereits beeindruckende eintausend Jahre alt. Im Jahr 1010 erhielt das Kloster seine Reichsunmittelbarkeit von dem deutschen Kaiser Heinrich II.<\/p>\n<h3>Heiligengrab<\/h3>\n<p>Die Schwester des Kaisers, Gisela von Bayern, trat nach dem Tod ihres Ehemannes selbst in den Konvent ein und stieg bis zur \u00c4btissin auf. Sie wurde als Heilige verehrt; das <strong>Grab der Seligen Gisela<\/strong> befindet sich noch heute in dem Kloster und wird von Pilgern besucht.
