Inzwischen ist sie ein <strong>Wahrzeichen f\u00fcr Fehmarn<\/strong> und sogar f\u00fcr ganz Schleswig-Holstein.<\/p>\n<h3>Platz f\u00fcr Autos und Eisenbahn<\/h3>\n<p>Auf der 21 m breiten Br\u00fccke konnte neben der <strong>Eisenbahnlinie und der zweispurigen Fahrbahn<\/strong> sogar noch ein Gehweg untergebracht werden. Sie k\u00f6nnen die Br\u00fccke also auch in Ruhe zu Fu\u00df \u00fcberqueren, um sie dabei ganz in Ruhe zu betrachten.<\/p>\n<h3>Der wohl l\u00e4ngste Kleiderb\u00fcgel der Welt<\/h3>\n<p>Die Einheimischen nennen die Stahlkonstruktion aufgrund ihres Aussehens scherzhaft den <strong>Kleiderb\u00fcgel<\/strong>. Und wie ein echter Kleiderb\u00fcgel kann auch die Br\u00fccke manchmal schwanken, wenn der Wind zu stark wird. Dazu geh\u00f6ren zum Beispiel ein Blumenstrau\u00df, der ganz aus Fischschuppen besteht, oder die \u201eAberglauben\u201c-Kammer.<\/p>\n<h3>Benannt nach einem Heimatforscher<\/h3>\n<p>Der Namensgeber des Museums ist Peter Wiepert, ein Heimatforscher und langj\u00e4hriger Leiter der Einrichtung. Das Museum besteht bereits seit Ende des 19. Das <strong>Klinkerbauhaus<\/strong> steht seit 1901 am s\u00fcdlichen Ende des Marktplatzes. Es beheimatet den Sitz und die Wohnung des B\u00fcrgermeisters, die allgemeine Verwaltung der Insel, das Standesamt und das Stadtarchiv.<\/p>\n<h3>Ersatz f\u00fcr das alte Rathaus<\/h3>\n<p>Das <strong>urspr\u00fcngliche Rathaus<\/strong> von Fehmarn stammte von 1520, wurde jedoch kurz vor Einweihung des neuen Geb\u00e4udes abgerissen. Im heutigen Sitzungssaal h\u00e4ngt ein Gem\u00e4lde des alten Rathauses, dass von einem Kieler Kunstmaler namens Burmester angefertigt wurde.<\/p>\n<h3>Auff\u00e4lliges Geb\u00e4ude<\/h3>\n<p>Das neue Rathaus ist mit seinen T\u00fcrmen und verwinkelten Ecken nicht zu \u00fcbersehen. Am auff\u00e4lligsten ist das <strong>Stadtwappen \u00fcber dem Eingang<\/strong>. Er ist der einzige der Insel, der von innen besichtigt werden kann. Das <strong>Bauwerk von 1915<\/strong> bietet eine tolle Sicht auf die Insel und das Naturschutzgebiet Krummsteert.<\/p>\n<h3>Mitten im Naturschutzgebiet<\/h3>\n<p>Der Leuchtturm Fl\u00fcgge befindet sich mitten in einem Paradies f\u00fcr Meeresv\u00f6gel und andere Tiere. Wie der Name schon verr\u00e4t, k\u00f6nnen in den Teichen, Schilffl\u00e4chen und Wiesen des Areals vor allem die <strong>verschiedensten Vogelarten<\/strong> beobachtet werden. Ein Infozentrum bietet zudem Informationen zum Reservat und zum Thema Vogelzug.<\/p>\n<h3>Gut erschlossenes Gel\u00e4nde<\/h3>\n<p>Etwa 10 Hektar des rund 300 Hektar gro\u00dfen Parks sind \u00f6ffentlich zug\u00e4nglich. \u00dcber einen Bohlenweg wandern Sie durch das Dickicht und halten Ausschau nach den V\u00f6geln. Von einem <strong>Aussichtsturm<\/strong> aus k\u00f6nnen Sie zudem in den gesch\u00fctzten Bereich schauen. Ganz abgesehen davon, dass dieser auch einen tollen Blick auf die angrenzende Ostsee bietet.<\/p>\n<h3>Weitere Tiere<\/h3>\n<p>Au\u00dfer V\u00f6geln sind im Reservat auch <strong>Amphibien und andere kleine Tiere<\/strong> zu Hause. Bei einem Ausbau im 15. Jahrhundert kamen dann noch sp\u00e4tgotische Elemente hinzu. Selbst nach dem Abschluss der eigentlichen Bauphase kam es immer wieder zu Renovierungen und Neuerungen am Geb\u00e4ude.<\/p>\n<h3>Sch\u00e4tze der Kirche<\/h3>\n<p>Heute beeindruckt die Kirche nicht nur mit ihrem prachtvollen Bau, sondern auch mit zahlreichen historischen Kostbarkeiten im Inneren. Nach einem Wetterumschwung kenterte das <strong>Segelschulschiff Niobe<\/strong> im Jahr 1932 vor der K\u00fcste Fehmarns. Obwohl Hilfe schnell zur Stelle war und ein Teil der Besatzung gerettet werden konnte, kamen 69 Menschen ums Leben.<\/p>\n<h3>Errichtet durch einen Lehrer<\/h3>\n<p>Die Initiative zur Errichtung des Denkmals kam durch einen Lehrer, der mit seiner Schulklasse bei einem Ausflug Zeuge des Ungl\u00fccks wurde.
