Schon im Mittelalter war die <strong>Festung am Roten Platz<\/strong>, dem \u00e4ltesten Teil der Stadt, Amtssitz der Gro\u00dff\u00fcrsten und Zaren. Sp\u00e4ter \u00fcbernahmen ihn die kommunistischen Machthaber. Heute sitzt im Kreml der russische Pr\u00e4sident.<\/p>\n<h3>Ein stilistisches Sammelsurium<\/h3>\n<p>Der Bau des Kreml begann im 12. Jahrhundert. Er wurde als wehrhafte Anlage mit hohen Umfassungsmauern errichtet. Noch heute wird der Kreml vollst\u00e4ndig von der 2.200 m langen, <strong>dunkelroten Kremlmauer<\/strong> umrundet. Durch zahlreiche Um- und Anbaute im Laufe der Jahrhunderte ist das Innere des Kreml inzwischen eine wilde Mischung der unterschiedlichsten Baustile.<\/p>\n<h3>Besichtigung mit F\u00fchrung<\/h3>\n<p>Da der Kreml aktiv f\u00fcr die Regierungsgesch\u00e4fte genutzt wird, kann er nur in Teilen und mit F\u00fchrungen besichtigt werden. Dabei besuchen Sie die f\u00fcnf Kirchen, die inzwischen zum Kreml-Museum umgestaltet wurden. Sie besteht aus insgesamt neun Kapellen, die in den Jahren 1555 bis 1561 von Zar Iwan dem Schrecklichen errichtet wurden.<\/p>\n<h3>Markante Architektur<\/h3>\n<p>Die Kathedrale sollte an die <strong>Unterwerfung der Tartaren<\/strong> durch Russland erinnern. Der spitz zulaufende zentrale Turm repr\u00e4sentiert ein tartarisches Wohnzelt, w\u00e4hrend die acht kleineren Zwiebelt\u00fcrme mit ihren farbenfrohen Kuppeln von den typischen Turbanen der Tartaren inspiriert sind.<\/p>\n<h3>Der Innenraum<\/h3>\n<p>Innen folgt die Kathedrale der \u00e4u\u00dferen Gliederung. Der Hauptraum liegt unter dem Zentralturm, die acht Nebenkapellen jeweils unter einem der Zwiebelt\u00fcrmchen. Dieses <strong>gr\u00f6\u00dfte Warenhaus Europas<\/strong> war einst ein staatliches Kaufhaus, wurde inzwischen aber privatisiert und modernisiert.<\/p>\n<h3>Historisches Geb\u00e4ude<\/h3>\n<p>Das GUM ist in einem Bauwerk untergebracht, dass noch aus der Zarenzeit stammt. Es wurde in den 1890er Jahren errichtet und galt seinerzeit als <strong>architektonische Meisterleistung<\/strong>. Die zentrale Halle ist auf beiden Seiten von dreist\u00f6ckigen Arkaden ges\u00e4umt, die durch Fu\u00dfg\u00e4ngerbr\u00fccken miteinander verbunden sind. Das Gew\u00f6lbedach aus st\u00e4hlernen Streben und Glasscheiben erlaubt dem Tageslicht, ins Innere der Halle vorzudringen.<\/p>\n<h3>Schaufensterbummel<\/h3>\n<p>Die Gesch\u00e4fte im GUM sind vor allem teure <strong>Luxusmarken<\/strong> und Designerlabels. Aber auch ohne etwas zu kaufen lohnt sich ein Bummel durch das Kaufhaus, um sein einzigartiges Ambiente zu bestaunen.
