Das romanische Kirchenschiff stammt aus dem 12. Jahrhundert, der gotische Kreuzgang aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Es liegt direkt am n\u00f6rdlichen Ufer des Douro und \u00fcberzeigt vor allem mit seiner h\u00fcbschen Uferpromenade, der <strong>Cais de Ribeira<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Historische Altstadt<\/h3>\n<p>Ribeira geh\u00f6rt zur <strong>Altstadt von Porto<\/strong>, die seit 1996 den Titel UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe tr\u00e4gt. Sie ist gepr\u00e4gt von dicht aneinander stehenden historischen H\u00e4usern und engen Gassen und Treppen, die dazwischen hindurchf\u00fchren.
