Fast 20 m hoch ragt der Semaphor \u00fcber der Hafeneinfahrt auf und erinnert an eine Zeit, als die Seefahrt noch nicht \u00fcber elektronische Kommunikation verf\u00fcgte.<\/p>\n<h3>Windanzeige auf die altmodische Art<\/h3>\n<p>Einst stand der Semaphor beim <strong>Leuchtturm Hohe Wege<\/strong> an der Weserm\u00fcndung. Er zeigte passierenden Schiffen die Windverh\u00e4ltnisse vor Borkum und Helgoland an. Da die Schiffe diese Informationen mittlerweile elektronisch erhalten und nicht mehr auf den Semaphor angewiesen sind, wurde er an den Neuen Hafen verlegt.
